I want to tell you a little bit about what's been going on here. Mom has been trying to get me to go potty outside. There's one big drawback though. On Tuesday there was a blizzard here. Yes a real blizzard with 14 inches of snow and 40 mph winds. So dad got home (late because he had to drive home fom work in it) and he shoveled a path from the back door, across the patio and onto the grass. Well that's great, because I don't have to walk through the sonw. The problem is it is still below zero in the morning, and not much warmer during the day. Did you ever try to go to the bathroom in sub-zero temperatures? Let me tell you, it ain't fun. So I've been pretty good peeing outside for Mom, but I'm still not real good at Number 2. Okay, that's probably TMI, so I'll change subjects. My new family has this cat called Gracie. I really didn't even know she was
here for the first two days. She likes to hide in the linen closet where I guess its warm. Anyway, the other night when I was sitting on Aidan's lap, she jumped up on the bed and looked at me for about five seconds and then she yawned and stared away. She's actually very pretty. She's half siamese and half grey tiger. She seems to be tolerating me okay, which is good because Dad said if she doesn't get along with me, I'm outta here. She is kind of the queen of the house and although I'm getting all the attention, she is certainly the most important person in this house (at least she thinks so).Probably the most interesting person in this house is little Joey. Now when I say little, you have to understand that compared to me, he's huge (I only weigh 5 pounds). Joey is the youngest kid in the house. He's 6 years old and autistic. Mom was telling me that means that he kind of lives in his own little world, but he definitely knows about me. The other day he was walking around saying "AH-KIE... AH-KIE", which Mom tells me means Rocky. And his helper at school, Miss Meghan, asked Joey if he had a new puppy, and he told her "AH-KIE". Then he stood up with her and she said to the class that Joey had a new puppy and he just smiled like crazy. Mom sent a picture of me to school with Joey today and he ran around all day carrying it and showing it to his classmates. Anyway, he's pretty cool and I hope someday that we can be good friends and I can help him with his autism. I put a picture of him below. Dad took this just after he put him in bed tonight. Joey has this puppy that he sleeps with every night, but maybe some day when I'm potty trained and they let me out of the kitchen, I can sleep with him and be his puppy.
Mom went out tonight and I really miss her.
Well, Dad is saying I gotta go back outside again. Geez, it's starting to snow.
