Bad Week

It's been kind of a bad week. It started with Joey getting sick (I mentioned that in my last post). Then Rhiannon got sick. Finally Mom got sick and that's tough on the whole family.

I got my cast off this week and that was good. I wore that collar for a while because I had a nasty pressure sore and I couldn't resist licking and chewing it. Now that it has cleared up, I don't have to wear that collar any more.

Aunt Amy came to see me. I really like her coat. especially the furry part. she had to hold my rawhide chew so that I wouldn't chew off her collar.

When I went to the doctor this week I was surprised that there was an orthopedic vet from the University of Illinois visiting the office. He took a look at my leg and said that it was hard to tell what it would end up like. I've been walking around on three legs mostly, but I'm trying to put weight on the one that was in the cast. I'm young and maybe it will all heal up okay. If not, the doctor told Mom that I'd fit right in with this family anyway. I think I like going to the doctor's office. There are all these vet techs who take care of me. They talk nice and make me feel special. I guess having a bad leg has some advantages. Mom says that I'm so pathetic and cute that I'm a real "chick magnet" whatever that is.
I think Mom is getting better. I hope she is well tomorrow. She holds this crazy family together and we just can't function when she isn't at her best.
You know, maybe this wasn't such a bad week after all. It depends on your perspective. I mean it was bad that everyone got sick, but everyone got well to and I got my cast off. I've only got three good legs right now, but I don't have the cast on and the doctor says that I may get my fourth leg back. Even if I don't there are worse things that could happen. It warmed up and the snow melted so I'm not freezing to and shaking when they take me outside to go potty. I am so happy to have a family that loves and cares for me. So I guess I'll say this was a pretty good week after all.

Rocky! Your aunt is HOT, but not as HOT as your human mom's other aunt!

Your old family in Indiana is sending your official pure bred Boston Terrier papers with your birthdate and everything. So that next year we can properly celebrate when you turn the big 1!
