Maggie Visits

Mom's sister Amy has a girl doggie named Maggie. Maggie is a beagle. Aunt Amy had to go away for a little while and Maggie was staying home, but not feeling so good. Late last night Mom opened up the Stringer Puppy Motel to Maggie. Mom thinks Maggie may not be with us much longer. She can't get up and move around. She's been laying in Mom and Dad's room since she came. She did stand-up to pee when Mom put her outside. She'd not eating, but she is drinking water.

Today everyone except Mom went to church. Mom stayed home to watch Maggie.

We've also got Huey here for a little while. Huey is a good companion for Maggie. I'm not so good, because I want her to run around and play, but she can't do that. Huey likes to lay next to her and make her feel better.

It is so cold. It is about 5°F right now as I write this. The wind is blowing hard. It is supposed to get below zero tonight. Dad built a fire in the fireplace so it is nice and warm downstairs. I wish I didn't have to go outside to use the bathroom.

Speaking of bathrooms, we've only got one working one. We think Joey flushed something down one of them, because one of them isn't working right now. Joey's done that before. Joey keeps playing on the computer. I got a pretty cute one of him today.

I hope all of you are staying warm.
